Disney World delayed the reopening of some of its resorts as Florida reported a record increase in coronavirus cases

On Tuesday, Disney World they will postpone the reopening of their hotels as coronavirus cases continue to rise across the country.

Disney's choice to pump the brakes on Florida-based resorts' reopenings marks a significant development for the company's parks division following its controversial choice to reopen Disney World earlier in July. The state has experienced one of the worst resurgences of the coronavirus in the US.

2020欧洲杯小组赛Florida reported 186 new coronavirus related deaths on Tuesday — the state's highest single-day increase — as total deaths .

Originally, The Polynesian Village Resort and Art of Animation Resort were due to reopen on August 12, but they're now scheduled to resume operation on October 1 and November 4, respectively.

2020欧洲杯小组赛Disney added that other resorts will remain closed.

"Given the current situation, there are some Disney Resort hotels and other areas that are not, as of this time, being scheduled for reopening yet. We will continue to evaluate the situation and reopen more locations when the environment is right to do so."

2020欧洲杯小组赛Since reopening, the park has taken precautions to slow the spread of the virus, including temperature checks and reduced capacity. 

2020欧洲杯小组赛Disneyland park in California, due to reopen on July 17, has since postponed its reopening to a later date. 

This isn't the first revision the park has made since reopening. On Monday, the park announced that masks with valves, holes, or mesh on them will be banned. On July 20, the company banned eating while walking at the park, as some visitors were using that as a loophole to not wear a mask while in the park.
